WELCOME TO THE BEACH HOUSE, ANGLESEY
good morning - "bore da"       how are you? - "Sut wyt ti?"

My beach house is a dog friendly, two bedroom retreat for anyone who loves beaches, adventures and creating new memories... It's in a very quiet village called Aberffraw on the west coast of Anglesey with views of the dunes and estuary onto the beach... The village has a local shop and pub! The house has a front double room with sunrise views over Snowdonia, and two single beds in the other bedroom. You will probably leave your phones at the door but there is Wifi for anyone who requires it :-) and a cupboard of films old and new for those winter nights!

The beach house is a place to escape & chill... filled with love, beach walks, sunrises & sunsets, dog walks, beach-combing, log fires, chilling out, fishing, boating, surfing, kiting, reading etc... Aberffraw is an all year round dog friendly beach! You can't get much better right on your doorstep but there are also headland walks right outside the door as well as at least 4 other beaches a short drive away! Anglesey has 27 beaches!! So much to find and explore!! :-)

ABERFFRAW

THE ISLAND OF MAGIC

Aberffraw Bay (pronounced "Aber-frown") is an unspoilt sandy beach that is just far enough from the nearest parking spot to make sure it never gets busy.

I think of Aberffraw beach not only as one of the best of Anglesey’s beaches, but where Anglesey’s Sahara meets the sea.

In my mind’s eye it was a desert striding dune after dune toward the sea. It was full of nomad encampments and plenty of wild rabbits. Mum and dad brought us here and the mass of pups we had would run and run to chase the wild rabbits even getting stuck down the rabbit holes from time to time... my brother learned to ride his motorbike on the dunes, I fell off it! but took my skateboard down there and skated the lanes!

These dunes are a Special Area of Conservation and lead all the way back to the village of Aberffraw...

With 27 beaches and endless adventures, coastal and inland you will never have enough time but as soon as you drive over one of the bridges a magic dust settles over you and you will be enchanted.

Firstly each and every beach has it's own magic... The west coast is my favourite, Aberffraw, Tyn Tywyn and Newborough beach onto Llanddwyn island!

Come rain or shine our fabulous beaches offer something for everyone – vast stretches of sand to run the dogs, safe swimming for the kids and windswept bays where a bracing walk and rock pooling are the call of the day.

Miles of scenic walks on the Coastal Path and cycle paths await you, as do some of the best water based activities.

There is so much to be discovered, from the islands rich culture and heritage and wonderful gardens to the unusual ‘moonscape’ landscapes that are home to an extraordinary amount of plants and wildlifeMuch of our coastline has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The welsh history of the island is obvious as you travel around... maybe learn to say hello in welsh, it goes down a treat...
